Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag congratulated team India for putting up a commanding effort to beat Windies 2-0 in the two-match Test series, yesterday.

Meanwhile, India, with Umesh Yadav in the lead again, set up a chase of only 72 runs and reached the target in just 16.1 overs. Virat Kohli and his men have now completed ten consecutive series victories at home. It was also India’s seventh straight series win over the Windies.

Openers KL Rahul and Prithvi Shaw, both scoring unbeaten 33 to steer their side past the winning line before they restrict the visitors for a mere 127 runs. As a result, Shaw bagged the man of the series, who was lauded by Virender Sehwag.

Previously, Windies started the day on high banking on Jason Holder to restrict the hosts’ lead to a small one. They gave them a chance, but Umesh Yadav broke their backbone, having had the opportunity of picking a hattrick twice on a day. Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin also chipped in with three and two wickets respectively.
