Not surprisingly, they succeed on some occasions and suffer a failure on some. As a result, they end up creating some memorable records as well as dubious records.
So here we are taking a look at high as well as low of each team in the history of the Indian Premier League.
We are presenting to you the highest and lowest total of every IPL team so far:
1.??Chennai Super Kings:
The two-time IPL champions posted their highest score so far in 2010 when they scored 246 against Rajasthan Royals. Murali Vijay had starred with the bat, scoring 127 off just 57 balls. Albie Morkel had also played a crucial knock of 62.
The Chennai-based outfit were dismissed for their lowest score when Mumbai Indians bowled them out for 79 while defending a modest 139 at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.
2. Delhi Daredevils:
The national capital-based outfit registered their highest total in 2011 when they scored 211 against Kings XI Punjab. David Warner and Virender Sehwag starred with the bat, both scoring 77.
Delhi recorded their lowest total in 2017 when they were all out for just 66 while chasing an improbable 213 against eventual winners, Mumbai Indians.
3. Kings XI Punjab:
Kings XI Punjab’s highest total in the IPL is 232. They posted the big total against Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2011 with Adam Gilchrist top-scoring for the Punjab-based outfit. The former Australia wicketkeeper scored 106 off 55 balls while his compatriot Shaun Marsh contributed 79.
They recorded their lowest total in the IPL in 2017 when they were all out for a paltry 73 against Rising Pune Supergiant.
4. Kolkata Knight Riders:
The two-time champions recorded their highest total in the very first game of the tournament in 2008 when an unbeaten knock of 158 from Brendon McCullum had helped them post a massive 222 against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
In the same year, they registered their lowest total, getting all out for just 66 against Mumbai Indians.
5. Mumbai Indians:
The three-time champions recorded their highest total in 2017 when they scored a massive 223 for six against Kings XI Punjab. It, however, came in a losing cause, as they lost by seven runs while chasing 230.
They registered their lowest total in 2018 when they were all out for 87 while chasing 118 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
6. Rajasthan Royals:
The inaugural winners registered their highest total in a losing cause. Chasing 247 against Chennai Super Kings in 2010, they scored 223 for five with Naman Ojha and Shane Watson registering fifties.
They recorded their lowest total in 2009 when Royal Challengers Bangalore bowled them out for just 58 while defending 133.
7. Royal Challengers Bangalore:
Royal Challengers Bangalore posted a massive 263 for five against now-defunct Pune Warriors in 2013. Chris Gayle was the architect of the big score, slamming a record 175 not out. In reply, Pune were restricted to 133 for nine.
The three-time finalists recorded their lowest total when they were bowled out for a paltry 49 by Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens.
8. Sunrisers Hyderabad:
Hyderabad’s highest total in the IPL is 209. They recorded it against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2017. David Warner had starred with the bat, scoring 126.
Their lowest total is 113 which they recorded against Mumbai Indians in 2015.
