Meanwhile, this will Yuvraj’s fifth franchise in the cash-rich league. Previously he has represented Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. He also lifted the IPL trophy with Hyderabad in 2016.

Yuvraj Singh’s last franchise, Kings XI Punjab decided not to retain him for the upcoming edition of the league following a poor show. The southpaw could just manage 65 runs in eight innings. Overall, he has played 128 IPL matches scoring 2652 runs with the highest score of 83.

The all-rounder had once topped the auctions when Delhi Daredevils bought for Rs 16 Crore in 2015. However, his stocks went down and in IPL 2018 auction, he was sold at his base price of Rs 2 Crore. And now, Yuvraj Singh after not finding a bidder in the first round got a buyer in the form of Mumbai Indians at his base price of Rs 1 crore.
