The 36th game of the Dream11 IPL will see defending champions Mumbai Indians [MI] lock horns with Kings XI Punjab [KXIP] in Dubai on Sunday.

KXIP broke their losing streak in the last game courtesy a brilliant batting performance-led by the trio of KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, and Chris Gayle, and they’ll be hoping to continue with the momentum against a rampaging Mumbai Indians unit.

Here’s a look at KXIP predicted XI for the match against MI-

Mayank Agarwal

The Karnataka opener has been in scintillating form throughout this Dream11 IPL.

His strokeplay has been a sight to behold and it was something that we once again witnessed in the last game against RCB. Agarwal’s 25-ball 45- an innings which included 4 fours and 3 sixes- was instrumental in getting KXIP off to a flier, something that the team-management will once again hope for from the opener against the Mumbai Indians.

KL Rahul, like his opening partner, has been in scintillating form throughout the season.

Rahul scored yet another unbeaten half-century in the last game and his partnership with Chris Gayle, was instrumental in KXIP chasing down the total against RCB.

The ‘Universe Boss’ announced his arrival in Dream11 IPL in sensational style as he rolled back the years with some vintage Gayle sixes.

Gayle smashed a 45-ball 53- an innings which included one four and five monstrous sixes- and KXIP will hope that the southpaw continues from where he had left against RB when he takes guard against Mumbai Indians.

Nicholas Pooran

Nicholas Pooran faced just one ball in KXIP’s innings in the last game and it turned out to be the most important ball of the match after the Punjab-based franchise failed to close out the game despite having reduced the equation to 11 off the last 18 balls.

Pooran showed great temperament and ensured that for once KXIP closed off the game as he smashed Chahal for a six on the last ball to seal the win.

Glenn Maxwell

The swashbuckler has managed just 58 runs in 7 innings at an average of 14.5 and a strike-rate of 95.08.

Maxwell hasn’t got much opportunity to bat in the last few games and the right-hander will hope to make an impact against MI, if he does gets to bat for a considerable amount of period.

Deepak Hooda did not get to bat in his maiden game of the 2020 IPL. The all-rounder will be hoping to make an impact if he does get an opportunity to bat against MI.

Chris Jordan

After two horrible outings in the Dream11 IPL thus far, Chris Jordan redeemed himself in the last match against RCB.

Jordan gave away just 20 runs in his 3 overs besides claiming the wicket of Shivam Dube.

Murugan Ashwin was absolutely brilliant with the ball in the last game. His consistent line and length and subtle variations did not allow RCB batsman to get away in the middle-overs.

He gave away just 23 runs in his 4 overs besides claiming the wickets of Aaron Finch and Washington Sundar.

Mohammed Shami

Mohammed Shami’s double-wicket strike, where claimed both AB de Villiers and AB de Villiers, was a big moment in the game against RCB, but the right-hander’s death bowling was once again exposed as he gave away 24 runs in his last over thanks to Chris Morris, who smoked him for three sixes and a four.

Ravi Bishnoi

Ravi Bishnoi has been one of the few shining lights in what has been a forgettable season for KXIP thus far.

Bishnoi has thus far claimed 8 wickets in as many games at an average of 30.12. He, however, had an average outing in the last game as he gave away 29 runs in his three overs without claiming a wicket, something he would hope to shrug off against MI.

Arshdeep Singh has impressed in the limited outings he has got in the IPL thus far. The left-arm fast bowler has thus far claimed four wickets in three games at an average of 19.8 and a strike-rate of 15.
