IPL: Chennai Super Kings Deny Speculations of Harbhajan Singh Joining Delhi Daredevils

Just after the speculations of veteran spinner Anil Kumble joining Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Daredevils (DD) as the head coach arise, few reports suggested that off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is leaving the reigning champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to mentor Shreyas Iyer-led Daredevils in the twelfth edition of IPL 2019.
Speaking of the same, the CEO of Chennai Super Kings denied the reports. The veteran off-spinner Harbhajan will continue his trade with the defending champions for the upcoming edition as well.
Harbhajan Singh is not going anywhere – CEO of Chennai Super Kings:
The CEO of the Super Kings, Kasi Vishwanath clarified by saying the veteran off-spinner isn’t leaving the franchise. He confirmed the news to Pune Mirror after having a phone call from Harbhajan Singh.

Harbhajan is concurrently plying his trade in the United Kingdom for the ongoing Test series between India and England as the broadcaster. However, he conversed with the franchise to deny the rumours.
“Harbhajan called us from the UK to clarify that he is not going anywhere and is committed to the CSK franchise,” team CEO Kasi Viswanath said to Pune Mirror on Wednesday.
Despite, Harbhajan quashing the reports, it is learnt that he is keeping himself open for various options. Harbhajan joined the Super Kings after staying for ten long years with Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians (MI).

Harbhajan Singh had a successful run in IPL:
The veteran off-spinner Harbhajan has had a great IPL career so far. He led Indians from the front and flourished many match-winning spells and knocks respectively. In addition, the age factor made Indians to leave him in IPL 11th edition.
Surprisingly, the rivals of Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings availed his services and ended up being the part of champions side in the IPL.
However, there is a chance for Harbhajan to take up the new role be it for Delhi Daredevils or any other franchise of the lucrative domestic league if he gives up hope for playing India.
