Of late, the flamboyant England batsman Jos Buttler has been a force to reckon with. He is scoring runs across the world to make things fall in place for his side. Meanwhile, the universe boss Chris Gayle believes that the batsman still has time to come near him. Despite the statement, Gayle showered words of praise on Jos Buttler.

On the other night, Jos Buttler and Chris Gayle put on a show. Buttler smashed a scintillating 150 off 77 deliveries before Chris Gayle knocking 162 runs off 97 balls. Meanwhile, Chris Gayle has got a few high words for the English batsman.

The Windies opening batsman quoted that there is no doubt that Buttler is one of the greatest strikers of the world in the current cricketing world. However, he believes that he still has time to reach Universe boss. Apart from that, Gayle quoted that Buttler is a game-changer and a game-winner for his side.

He also hailed Buttler’s superb 150-run knock in the 4th ODI, which took away the game from Windies. He is hopeful that Jos Buttler will attain greater heights in the years to come.

“Buttler is superb. You can’t take away the fact that he’s one of the best strikers in the world today. But he’s not close to the Universe Boss though,” Gayle was quoted as saying by icc-cricket.com regarding Jos Buttler.

“But he’s a youngster, he’ll get there eventually. He’s showcased his talent all round the world. Buttler is a game changer, a game-winner, any team needs a Buttler in their team to win them games. He’s a superb player, he’s been in superb form from the last IPL, and he’s done this for England for some time. He’s a key player, batted superbly well and took the game away from us,” Gayle added.

All in all, it has been a brilliant show from the duo on the other night. Currently, both are enjoying their batting form by delivering the goods on a regular basis for there respective sides. After the series, they will meet again in Indian Premier League 2019.
