Kerala have named a strong squad under the leadership of veteran batsman Robin Uthappa for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Kerala will play their first game against Tamil Nadu on November 8 at the Greenfield Stadium in Trivandrum.

The team consists of some heavyweight names who can carry the side on their shoulders. The likes of skipper Uthappa and Jalaj Saxena have tons of domestic experience and knows the conditions very well. Meanwhile, the eyes will be on Sanju Samson, who has been making the headlines of all right reasons.

The wicket-keeper batsman recently struck a double century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy game. Although Sanju has lacked consistency but is a big match player. Further down, the presence of Sachin Baby and Vishnu Vinod will strengthen their middle order.
