Man of the Match: Kuldeep Yadav Reveals How He Planned Aaron Finch's Wicket

India managed an easy win in the rain-affected encounter at Ranchi’s JSCA stadium on Saturday. It was Virat Kohli who won the toss and asked the visitors to bat first on a slow surface.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave India an early breakthrough, as David Warner chopped one onto his stumps. It was then the deadly duo of the new spin-twins India have found in Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal who have been on-song and gave the team crucial breakthroughs during the middle stages.

Kuldeep Yadav, in particular, has been outstanding and Australian batsmen have found it almost impossible to his wrong-un.

Though Yuzvendra Chahal continued to get the better of Glenn Maxwell, Kuldeep was awarded the man of the match for his brilliant spell of four overs in which he picked up two wickets and conceded only 16 runs.

After the match-winning performance with the ball, Kuldeep revealed in the post-match presentation, that how he planned Aaron Finch’s wicket.

“I’m very happy. This is my first Man of the Match. First couple of balls I saw what he (Finch) was trying to do and set him up with an overpitched ball.” said the left-arm-spinner.

Kuldeep further went on to say that, he always looks to pick up wickets and he is feeling confident with every day, especially after performing against World Cup Champions, Australia.

“I always think about wickets and that’s what really matters to me and the team. I’m getting more confident day by day and game by game. Performing well against a top side like Australia, I’m very happy for myself.” Concluded Kuldeep.

India will play Australia in the second game in Guwahati on 10th October, where the visitors will look to stay alive in the series, whereas Virat Kohli  and co. will look to seal the series with last game to be played in Hyderabad.
