Mishra, Jayant, Mohit to Turn Up for Bowling Heavy Haryana; Chahal Absent

Amit Mishra will lead a bowling heavy and a star-studded Haryana in the Zonal T20 league.
Haryana includes the likes of Jayant Yadav and Mohit Sharma as well. Harshal Patel, a regular member of IPL, is also part of the team.
Jayant is making a comeback after a long break of more than six months. He got injured before the start of the season and did not play any part in the Ranji Trophy. He has also cleared the yo-yo test, a fact which he revealed to Wisden India and can be in contention for a comeback in the national team if he does well.
For Mishra as well, this is a tournament of doing well and get back his place in the national side. With no R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja in the limited-overs side, an opportunity can come to Mishra if the young spinners in limited overs side fail.
Mohit Sharma will too look forward to doing well and draw the attention of the selectors. However, all of them will also have to do well to attract an IPL team on the auction day.

The non-inclusion of Yuzvendra Chahal indicates that there could be some injury concern, like in the case of Shreyas Iyer, who was not included in Mumbai squad. Chahal is a part of the ODI side for the series against South Africa and will join the team in the coming days, with the other ODI specialists.
Among ODI specialists, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Manish Pandey are the few players who are playing the tournament. MS Dhoni decided not to play the league while Kedar Jadhav was absent from Maharashtra’s opening contest.
Squad: Amit Mishra, Chaitanya Bishnoi, Ajit Chahal, Ashish Hooda, Rajat Paliwal, Harshal Patel, Shubham Rohilla, Mohit Sharma, Rohit Parmod Sharma, Shivam Chauhan, Guntashveer Singh, Rahul Tewatia, Virender Dahiya, Jayant Yadav.
Harpreet Singh Bhatia to lead Madhya Pradesh –
All-rounder Harpreet Singh Bhatia will lead Madhya Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2018. A regular member of Madhya Pradesh, Harpreet went unsold in IPL auction last year due to identity confusion but was later roped in by Royal Challengers Bangalore to replace an injured Sarfaraz Khan.
The team includes India Internationals, Naman Ojha and Ishwar Pandey as well. Surprisingly, Avesh Khan wasn’t included in the side.
In past few months, they have been regularly backed by Indian selectors, as they included him in Board President’s XI squad for matches against Australia and New Zealand. He was a part of net bowlers contingent that travelled to South Africa as well, but he did not get a place in Madhya Pradesh team.
Despite being not part of the side, he is expected to get a buyer in IPL.
