Mitchell McClenaghan was welcomed at his home with a hilarious message by his wife. The New Zealand star, on Sunday, left Pakistan Super League (PSL) due to the coronavirus outbreak. The left-arm pacer was plying his trade for Karachi Kings and had played just one game.

The Karachi-based outfit made it to the semifinal but Mitchell McClenaghan decided to leave Pakistan for his home for understandable reasons. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has allowed the overseas as well as local players and others to leave the tournament if they want to. Mitchell McClenaghan is the fifteenth overseas player to leave the tournament so far. In addition to that, Peshawar Zalmi coach James Foster has left PSL too.

In order to combat the coronavirus outbreak, New Zealand have decided to enforce a mandatory 14-day self-isolation for anyone who enters its borders after midnight of Sunday. And perhaps that is why Mitchell McClenaghan decided to leave PSL in a hurry even though his team was in the semifinal.

But when he arrived at his home in New Zealand, he was in for a hilarious surprise. His wife had left for her parents’ house and left a hilarious message for the pacer which read: “When you start to get frustrated just think.. it could be worse… At least you are not stuck inside with your wife!!”

Later, Mitchell McClenaghan posted a selfie with the message on Twitter with the caption: “Straight home into isolation, get home to this note from my legendary wife who’s gone to stay with her parents for a few weeks. See you guys in 14 days Ok hand”

Mitchell McClenaghan would have been in India later this month for the Indian Premier League (IPL) but it has been postponed till April 15. The star pacer plies his trade for Mumbai Indians in the cash-rich league.
