Mithali Raj ‘Looking Forward’ to see Taapsee Pannu play her role in a biopic:

Apart from Viacom 18 Studios, Taapsee herself shared her first look from the film on Twitter recently.

Along with it, she wrote, “I have always been asked who’s your favourite male cricketer but you should ask them who their favourite female cricketer is.”

“The statement that made every cricket lover pause and introspects that do they love the game or the gender playing it. Mithali Raj you are a ‘Game Changer’,” wrote Taapsee further along with the poster.

The interesting thing here is that the caption that Taapsee shared with the poster has an interesting story behind it. In 2017, ahead of the ICC Women’s World Cup, Mithali was questioned by a reporter to name her favourite male cricketer.

Mithali Raj response won hearts:

Her reply was, “Do you ask the same question to a male cricketer?” This epic reply, quickly went viral on the internet, and Mithali had received widespread support for raising the issue of sexism in cricket.

Anyways, for fans, who love the sport whoever be the gender playing it, the film will surely be a treat.

After all, it’s not every day you get to watch Taapsee replicate such a fiery character on the silver screen.
