Mohammad Kaif Comes Up With the Solution for India's Middle-Order Woes

Recently retired Mohammad Kaif has come up with the solution for India’s middle-order woes. Kaif believes that all-rounder Krunal Pandya and Ambati Rayudu should get a look in the middle-order.

The senior Pandya was picked in the Twenty20 International side, however, the southpaw didn’t make the cut in the playing XI.

On the other hand, Rayudu was shown the exit door from the One-day International side after he had failed to clear the Yo-Yo test.

However, Rayudu had earned his place in the Indian squad after having a dream run in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Middle-order and lower order woes are making the team management to scratch their heads.

Meanwhile, India has continued to play the musical chair game with the number four batting position. In the ODI decider at Headingley, Virat Kohli surprisingly dropped KL Rahul.

However, Dinesh Karthik received his much-deserved chance but the right-hander failed to leave a mark after a decent start.

In fact, Suresh Raina also failed to deliver with the bat. Therefore, India continued with its struggle in the middle order.

The top three batsmen, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and especially skipper Kohli has done the bulk of the scoring. Subsequently, the middle order has failed to deliver the goods.

Consequently, Kaif asserted Team India has experimented with seven batsmen at the number four position. However, no batsman has been able to grab the position with consistent performance.
