"MS Dhoni Does Much Better": Aakash Chopra Schooled For Sharing Fan's Helicopter Shot Video

Ever since MS Dhoni introduced the helicopter shot to international cricket a lot of cricketers have tried to imitate the shot. Premier Afghanistan all-rounder Rashid Khan was seen imitating the ‘helicopter shot’ in the Big Bash League (BBL), India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has also pulled off his version of the shot every now and then.

As much as the helicopter shot looks like a delight to the eye it’s as difficult to pull off. But professional cricketers make it look easy. Inspired by cricketers on the international circuit a lot of the Indian cricket team fans, especially those who adore MS Dhoni, have tried to come up with their own versions of the helicopter shot.

Aakash Chopra: Find us a better helicopter shot….we shall wait

Cricket commentator Aakash Chopra tweeted a video of a fan pulling off a helicopter shot. Though the shot did not go to distance, he felt it is one of the finest helicopter shot ever. In the video a fan, playing tennis-ball cricket, can be seen hitting the helicopter shot with one-hand to his calibre.

Chopra captioned the video as, “Find us a better helicopter….we shall wait”

Fans did not like the caption on the video and instantly schooled Aakash Chopra. One of the fan said, “it would be caught inside the circle in international cricket”.

While it would be unfair to compare the fan to MS Dhoni, the video shows the influence the former India captain has on him, and how popular the helicopter shot has grown over the years.
