MS Dhoni Is Always Emotional About Cricket, Reveals Sakshi Dhoni

MS Dhoni. Will he, would he, should he? These are the questions that have been in every cricket fans mind since July 2019. MS Dhoni hasn’t played any competitive cricket since India’s heartbreaking defeat against New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup semi-final. Since then, Dhoni has been on a sabbatical and with every series that he missed during the 2019-20 season, speculations around his international future began to grow louder.

Dhoni was all set to make his return to competitive cricket with the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League but with the tournament getting postponed and the T20 World Cup on the verge of cancellation, no one really knows what the future holds for the multiple ICC trophy-winning captain.

One of the most endearing facet of MS Dhoni during his playing days was his calmness. No matter how tense the situation got, Dhoni never showed a slightest of emotion. But is he the same when there are no cameras or does he also show his emotions. Several teammates of MS Dhoni have said in the past that the former captain does show his emotions in the dressing room.

Testifying the same is Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Rawat, who in a recent interview said- “Mahi is always emotional about cricket. It’s his love.”

Dhoni is a video game addict and Saksho revealed that it is a sort of stress-buster for the former Indian captain

“Video games are a stress buster for him. He has got a thinking brain, it does not rest. When he plays video games, it helps him divert his mind, which is a good thing. Nowadays PUBG has encroached my bed. Mahi is sleep talking about PUBG these days,” Sakshi told interviewer Rupha Ramani.

“Nobody picks up a fight with him. I am the only one,” Sakshi on MS Dhoni

Sakshi also revealed how MS always used to keep his door open for his teammates during his captaincy days.

“Mahi has always kept his door open. It has been like that since 2010 (when we got married). People come…we chat sometimes till 3-4 in the morning. When they come to talk to Mahi about cricket, I go away.” she revealed.

She also went on to spill beans on where she and MS plan to visit once the lockdown is over, provided there is no cricket at the time.

“If there is cricket there will be cricket. But Mahi and I have planned to hit the hills. We are planning to go to Uttarakhand..stay in small villages. we will do road trips..no flights,” Sakshi said.
