After the poor show last year, the critics and analysts felt that Dhoni should retire from the game with age catching him up. However, he made an astounding return to the game with splendid performances in 2019. Meanwhile, Sourav Ganguly believes that MS Dhoni should continue even after the ICC World Cup 2019.
Why Should MS Dhoni retire when he is performing – Sourav Ganguly
The former Indian skipper quoted that Mahendra Singh Dhoni should play the game even after the ICC World Cup 2019. He added that age should never be the criteria for a selection of a player. He believes that the player should get a go until he fails to perform for the team.

“Dhoni can continue after the World Cup. If India wins the Cup and Dhoni performs consistently then why should he retire. Age is never a factor if talent is there,” Ganguly told PTI.
Indian fast bowlers are brilliant – Sourav Ganguly
Further, he hailed Indian fast bowlers for their consistent performances in the recent past. He Believes that the fast bowlers will help India win the matches in the World Cup, as it is set to be played in England, which helps fast bowlers.
“The opening combination should not be tweaked. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan are the ideal pair to give India a fast start. But KL Rahul is also there,” he said.

India is one of the favourites:
Ganguly quoted saying that the better team, which tackles the pressure and perform on the given day will win the grand event. He feels that there are quite a few teams this time around, who plays brilliantly in English conditions. Ganguly also cited that Sri Lanka also got a chance to win.
“India is one of the favourites for sure. But West Indies, New Zealand, Sri Lanka are also there in the mix. Recently Sri Lanka has been in terrific form. They defeated South Africa. I think it will be a superb World Cup,” he said.
Well, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out. So far, Mahendra Singh Dhoni never made any comment on the retirement calls.
