PCB to Charge Ahmed Shehzad for Failing Dope Test

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will charge Ahmed Shehzad after the batsman failed the dope test. In fact, the Pakistan board will announce the charge sheet later in the day.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad is charged for a banned substance by the board. Independent Review Board report has suggested Shehzad was tested positive for the doping test.
“Independent Review Board Report on doping case has been received by PCB. Cricketer Ahmed Shehzad has tested positive for a banned substance. PCB will issue charge sheet today (Tuesday),” PCB’s said in a post on social media.
In fact, the report was received by PCB on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board had revealed earlier that a player is tested positive for the doping test. However, as per the rules of the International Cricket Council, PCB had not revealed the cricketer’s name.
PCB had posted in June, “A player has reportedly tested positive for a prohibited substance. But under ICC rules PCB cannot name the player or charge sheet him until the chemical report is CONFIRMED by the Anti-Dope Agency of the government. We should have an answer in a day or two.

As per the reports, Ahmed Shehzad got tested during the Pakistan Cup. The Pakistan domestic One Day tournament which involves five teams ran from April 19 to May 1. In fact, the right-handed batsman Ahmed Shehzad was the leading run-getter with 372 runs while playing for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Meanwhile, Ahmed Shehzad had struggled to break into the Pakistan squad in the recent times.
However, Shehzad was part of the Pakistan squad that won the two-match T20I series against Scotland. The Pakistan opener had scored 38 runs in the two matches.
