Top-ranked Twenty20 Internationals spinner, Rashid Khan has come up with an interesting reply to popular commentator-cum-journalist Harsha Bhogle’s comment whom the former earlier termed as ‘brother’.
Meanwhile, it all started when Bhogle lavished praise on Rashid for his splendid effort in the recently concluded three-match T20I series.
Recently, the 19-year-old Rashid single-handedly guided Afghanistan to their maiden series win against Bangladesh in the Doon Valley.
Moreover, they defeated the Tigers by one run in the final game to complete the three-match Twenty20 series with a clean sweep by the scoreline of 3-0.
The young prodigy Rashid finished the league as the Player of the Series with eight wickets from three games. He derailed the Bangladesh batting – to clinch the maiden series.
As a result, a confident Afghanistan side will go for their debut Test against India since earning the status. Bengaluru will host the single Test starting from June 14.
Meanwhile, Rashid’s brilliant efforts compelled Bhogle to praise him on the microblogging website Twitter.
“Meanwhile
@rashidkhan_19 has defended 9 off the last over to give Afghanistan a clean sweep over Bangladesh. Amazing result for Afghanistan and further proof of Rashid’s phenomenal development,” Bhogle tweeted.

Riding on his luck and stellar of performances, Rashid was quick to reply to Bhogle’s tweet.
However, his choice of words for him did not go down well with a certain section of his fans, as he referred to Bhogle as ‘bro’.
Many Twitter users couldn’t stop laughing as Rashid Khan termed a 56-year old Harsha Bhogle as ‘bro’. However, Bhogle was absolutely fine with it and admitted that he had no problem with the bro part.
“Hey @rashidkhan_19, no problem with the “bro” bit. Go for it! Looking forward to catching up in Bengaluru!” Bhogle tweeted.

"Bro" sounds cool @rashidkhan_19! I am sure even @bhogleharsha doesn't mind 🙂 One of my friends @nnojha who is more than the age of my father doesn't mind when I call him bro – and vice-versa 🙂
