Former Indian legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar has wished former South African all-rounder Lance Klusener on his 47th birthday. Klusener is nicknamed as ‘Zulu’ during his cricketing career.
Zulu is one of the official languages of South Africa, and Klusener is known to speak in that language very fluently. Hence former Team India skipper Tendulkar tried to wish him in the Zulu language.
Sachin Tendulkar wishes Klusener in the Zulu language:
Taking to his Twitter handle, Tendulkar wrote, “Wishing #LanceKlusener, usuku olumnandi lokuzalwa! Unomnyaka omkhulu, umngane wami. He’s famous for being fluent in Zulu language, so trying to wish him in Zulu.”
Tendulkar and Klusener were involved in several battles during their respective playing careers. Klusener had dismissed Tendulkar on a couple of occasions in international cricket.
Meanwhile, the Little Master also played some excellent knocks against the Proteas.

Klusener was one of the architects of the South African team towards the late 90’s and the early 2000’s. He provided the perfect stability to the team with his all-round abilities. He was a skiddy customer with the ball in hand and was one of the feared batsmen during his days.
The southpaw on his day decimated any of the bowling attacks.
Lance Klusener was one of the top performers for the Protas in the 1999 World Cup:
Klusener almost helped South Africa qualify for the 1999 World Cup final after stunning innings against Australia in the semi-final of the tournament.
South Africa needed nine runs when Klusener stuck consecutive boundaries to bring the calculation down to one required off four balls. After failing to score in the third delivery, Klusener went for a non-existent run, and Allan Donald didn’t respond at all before the match ended in a tie.
However, Australia went through to the final for losing the lesser number of wickets.
Lance Klusener fondly known as Zulu had been known for pyrotechnics as Sachin Tendulkar was well aware of during his heydays.
