The book reveals about several anecdotes that range from his controversies with Greg Chappell to the insecurities throughout career to the unique world of IPL, to the reason that led to his premature international retirement.
Ganguly reveals the reason
Talking about the decision behind the title, Ganguly admitted he feels that scoring runs cannot make anybody a champion. He also added people need to go various ups and downs and come out of it to be a champion.
“The title of my book ‘A Century is Not Enough’ means that just by scoring runs one cannot be a champion at top level as a cricketer has to go through various ups and downs in his life,” Ganguly clarified.
Meanwhile, Ganguly had to retire from international cricket early in his career. However, before his retirement in 2008, Ganguly had played 113 Tests and 311 ODIs for India. He scored 7212 and 11363 runs in Tests and ODI cricket, respectively.
