The rumours suggesting that not all is well in the Indian dressing room or particularly between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are doing the rounds for over an year now and Suryakumar Yadav’s latest action on social media has all but confirmed it.
The rumours had first surfaced during last year’s World Cup in England. Following India’s exit from the tournament at the semifinal stage, several rumours had suggested that the Indian dressing room was divided into two halves with one half supporting Virat Kohli and the other half supporting Rohit Sharma.

The rumours were so strong that Virat Kohli himself had to quash them by insisting that all was well between him and Rohit. Kohli was asked about the rumours when the team was departing for West Indies right after the World Cup.
Suryakumar Yadav’s surprising action on Twitter:
While only Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and their teammates know the truth about the rumours, Suryakumar Yadav’s action on social media has made it clear that there is at least some truth to the rumours. The Mumbai Indians batsman liked a tweet, taking a dig at Virat Kohli as well as India’s selectors for the way Rohit Sharma’s selection matter for Australia tour panned out.

The opener was not included in any of the three squads for the tour due to injury but he left the selectors embarrassed by playing in the IPL. Later, he was included in the Test squad but was rested for the limited-overs series as a precautionary measure.
Here is the tweet:

Suryakumar Yadav liked the tweet, leaving the fans utterly surprised. But before things could escalate, he removed the like.

Suryakumar Yadav is himself miffed with the selectors for not being a part of India’s squads for the Australia tour. The in-form batsman has been scoring consistently in domestic cricket and IPL but is yet to earn a call from Team India. In the just-concluded IPL 2020 too, he scored an impressive 480 runs to help Mumbai clinch the title.
