Threatened By Blackmailers, Rahul Sharma Vents His Frustration On Twitter
In a surprising tweet, former India spinner Rahul Sharma, on Monday (January 2), posted a message on Twitter, venting out his frustration against some miscreants who are blackmailing him.
The controversial leg-spinner, who hogged the limelight following his stint with Pune Warriors in IPL 2011, revealed that he has been receiving threats. The 31-year old insisted that he has been receiving career-ending threats from some unknown individuals, seeking divine intervention to put an end to the episode. At the same time, Hindi news outlet Dainik Jagran has reported that the bowler has refrained from revealing any details about the entire episode.
In a strongly-worded tweet, Rahul slammed the miscreants, writing:
“I don’t knw what happen with people money ke liye kuch be krte Hai kisi ki life important hoti hai someone blackmailing me ki video upload kr dega dokhe se ki meri cricketing career or life spoil krne ke liye ??plz god save me for this bullshit people ?.”
His tweet roughly translates to:
” I do not know what has happened to people who are ready to do anything for money. Everyone’s life is important. Someone is blackmailing me, threatening to upload a video which will spoil my life and career. Please god save me from such people.”

Meanwhile, Rahul recently said he was trying to make a comeback to the Indian team for the 2019 World Cup. Rahul represented India in 4 One-Day Internationals and 2 T20 Internationals. He made his international debut in an ODI against West Indies at Indore in 2011 while his T20 debut came against Australia at Sydney in 2012. His career was dealt a huge blow after he was allegedly involved in the 2012 Juhu rave party scandal. His last competitive game came for Delhi Daredevils in 2014.
