Three Teams Who Can Go On To Win The IPL 2020

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 is ready to hit the floor from 29th March. IPL is the grandest T20 league tournament in the world. In India, IPL is celebrated as a festival and is none short of a carnival of cricket for the lovers of the sport. It is famous all across the globe and boasts the tag of having all the superstars of world cricket on one stage.
Like every season, speculations have begun as to who could be the possible title challengers this season. But, as always, IPL never fails to amaze the fans and this year will be no different too.
In 12 seasons played so far, the IPL has seen six different teams with titles. Mumbai Indians (MI) lead the tally with four trophies which is followed by Chennai Super Kings (3), and Kolkata Knight Riders (2). Rajasthan Royals, Deccan Chargers, and Sunrisers Hyderabad have one title each to their name.
Let’s take a look at the three most possible winners of IPL 2020.

IPL 2020: Possible Title Challengers of the 13th IPL Season:
Chennai Super Kings:
Chennai is the most consistent team of the IPL. Although it has won a title less than Mumbai, it has played more finals than any other team in the competition.
CSK is the only team to reach in the knockout stage of every season that it has played in. A two-year ban because of the fixing charges saw one of the most popular franchises in world cricket stay out of the competition.
However, they announced their comeback in style as they went on to win the 2018 IPL, the season they made their comeback.
Another factor that favours CSK more than anybody else is the squad that it has got.
A leader in MS Dhoni will play in his last IPL and the team would like to give him a perfect farewell by lifting the trophy.
Dhoni has been the epicentre of the team since the inception of IPL and no matter how many players have come and gone, Dhoni has stayed there throughout.
CSK has one of the most experienced players in their squad this season. Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Shane Watson, and a lot of players have got the experience of playing under clutch situations and can prove to be handy for a possible title challenge this year.
CSK, as always, will be one of the favourites to lift the title this year and it will be interesting to see if Dhoni wins another final by hitting a six at the Wankhede Stadium.
Mumbai Indians:
Mumbai Indians have the honour of being the most successful team of the IPL. It has clinched a total of four titles and they just don’t seem to stop at the moment.
Talking about consistency, Mumbai have been there with the very best and are only second fiddle to CSK in this regard.
Captain Rohit Sharma has been one of the best captains of the tournament so far. It is a famous saying that Mumbai’s season starts midway of the tournament. They have a knack of winning games after games in a row and do not stop once they start.
They have played games under extreme pressure and their batting is one of the most destructive line-ups in the tournament.
Rohit has been a leader from the front and has played certain breath-taking innings. He has been brilliant with his captaincy and the way he shuffles his bowlers.
The team boasts of having players like Kieron Pollard, Quinton de Kock, Jasprit Bumrah, Lasith Malinga and many other global stars.
The defending champions of IPL will look to retain their title and win a record 5th IPL trophy.
Sunrisers Hyderabad:
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has one of the best squads of the tournament. They have players who have done good in Indian conditions and can upset the best of the teams.
Having a great experience of playing close call games in the tournament also increases their chance of winning it.
It has not been a good year for Kane Williamson as a captain. He has lost four super overs in the past one year, the most important of them being the ICC Cricket World Cup Final in 2019.
However, Williamson has always looked unfazed by it. It will be a great opportunity for him to prove his mantle as a captain. David Warner will be one of the team’s greatest asset in helping them win the title.
Apart from Williamson and Warner, the team has global superstars like Rashid Khan, Mitchell Marsh, and Jonny Bairstow who have the capability of turning the match in their favour from any point.
The 2016 champions of the tournament will look to add the second title of their IPL career as they take on the field in this year’s IPL.
