Pakistan spin spearhead Yasir Shah, on Sunday, scored his first Test hundred in the ongoing second Test against Australia at the Adelaide Oval. It looked like Australia would have yet another easy outing against Pakistan when the tourists started day three on 96 for 6 while replying to hosts’ mammoth total of 589 for 3.

However, Babar Azam and Yasir Shah had other plans. The two came up with a fine show with the bat to frustrate Australia. Babar, who began the day on 43, completed his fifty with a stylish whip off Josh Hazlewood. He also took on Marnus Labuschagne’s part-time spin bowling with a couple of boundaries as he got into nervous nineties.

But before he could score his second century of the series, Mitchell Starc made him edge one behind the stumps to Tim Paine. Babar missed his well deserved century by just three runs.  Starc followed it up by dismissing Shaheen Afridi on the very next delivery. The left-arm pacer could have also got a hat-trick, but Mohammad Abbas somehow managed to get bat on a delivery that tailed in.

From thereon, Yasir Shah and Mohammad Abbas have been frustrating the home side. Yasir did ride his luck too. Steve Smith could not hold on to the ball when Shah edged Marnus Labuschagne in the slip. Paine also missed a stumping chance off Lyon in the 58th over. And Yasir made the most of the reprieves by scoring his first century in the longest format of the game. His previous best score in Tests was 42.

MS Dhoni trolled:

While most of the fans were busy praising Yasir Shah for his Test century, some made sure to point out the fact that MS Dhoni could not score a century in Tests in Australia or in SENA countries (South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia). Dhoni scored six Test centuries but none outside Asia. And the fans used the opportunity to troll him once again.
