Ungli Karneki Aadat Gayi Nai: Vinod Kambli Slams Javed Miandad For Calling India Unsafe

Former India batsman Vinod Kambli has launched a scathing attack at Javed Miandad after the latter’s surprising comments on India’s security conditions. With Pakistan still not managing to attract international teams to their backyard for series, Javed Miandad urged ICC to stop India from hosting international games too.

While Pakistan have hosted the likes of Sri Lanka and West Indies in recent times, the teams are still reluctant to visit the country citing security reasons. Sri Lanka had to send a second-string side for the T20I and ODI series as a host of big names pulled out. Bangladesh are now hesitant to visit the country for the same reasons.

Not only the players but Bangladesh’s backroom staffs are also not willing to visit Pakistan. And as Pakistan desperately try to convince the teams to visit them, Javed Miandad took a shot at India. The former Pakistan captain, who is known for his outspoken nature, said that teams should stop touring India in the backdrop of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protests.

“People should take note of what is going on in India. I urge the ICC to boycott them,” Miandad said. “Not Pakistan but India is not a safe country for any tourist or anybody (sic). As human beings, we sportspersons should also stand up and condemn them,” he added.

Unsurprisingly, Javed Miandad is being slammed by the Indian fans for his unpleasant and meaningless remarks. And Vinod Kambli also joined the bandwagon as he slammed the former Pakistan batsman. Vinod Kambli took to Twitter to tell Miandad that he has still not managed to get rid of his habit of poking his nose in others’ matters.

“Miandad apki ungli karneki aadat gayi nai. Abhi retirement ke baad bhi chalu hai. Our country is safe. We have provided the best security to every touring nation coming to India. U should focus on checking which other country wants to tour Pakistan,” wrote Vinod Kambli.
