The 27th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is currently taking place between Sam Curran’s Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Faf Du Plessis’ Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is currently taking place at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. The hosts won the toss and decided to field first.

But their decision to bowl first didn’t pay off as Royal Challengers Bangalore openers Virat Kohli (59) and Faf du Plessis have taken the Punjab Kings bowlers to the cleaners. The duo made the hosts bowlers dance to their tone and smashed them all over the park. They stitched 137 runs for the opening partnership.

The wrecker-in-chief has been their skipper Faf du Plessis. The batter has made a mockery of the opposition and has continued his red-hot form. However, he was taken down by the deadly no-ball that almost knocked his head.

It was during the 16th over the innings when the ball slipped out of PBKS’ skipper Sam Curran’s hand. It was a high full toss that almost hit Faf on the head. The batter got surprised by the ball and somehow managed to escape from it.

Notably, Faf du Plessis went on to play a staggering inning as he smashed 84 runs in 56 balls and helped his side get into a dominant position.
