The crowd at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru cheered and applauded for former India National Cricket Team and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli as he walked in to bat in the pink-ball Test match against Sri Lanka National Cricket Team on Saturday, March 12.
M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is Virat Kohli’s virtual home ground as he has been playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise for a very long time in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and he has also made it clear that he will never switch franchise and will keep representing RCB till his last Indian Premier League game.

Meanwhile, India are playing their 4th pink-ball Test match and the first one against Sri Lanka, having played one each against Bangladesh, England and Australia.
However, India were off to a poor start in the match as opener Mayank Agarwal got run-out in the second over itself and skipper Rohit Sharma was unable to play a big knock and got out after scoring just 15 runs.

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli came out to bat after the dismissal of current Indian captain Rohit Sharma, and the crowd, which was disappointed after Rohit’s wicket, got energetic and welcomed the local lad with cheers and applauds.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli had scored his last international century in the pink-ball Test against Bangladesh in 2019 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, and he has gone 71 innings in international cricket without scoring a hundred since hitting 136 in Kolkata. Fans are expecting Kohli to finally smash his 71st hundred in the pink-ball Test against Sri Lanka.
