After making way for Rohit Sharma in the third Test, Mayank Agarwal got a chance in the playing eleven for the ongoing fourth Test against Australia in Brisbane. The right-handed batsman got the chance only because of Hanuma Vihari’s injury and as a result, he has been included in the team as a middle-order batsman.
Mayank Agarwal, however, failed to make the most of the opportunity. He did get the start and was looking comfortable before throwing his wicket away by playing a loose drive. He left the deliveries outside off well while facing the fast-bowlers and used his feet confidently against Nathan Lyon. The Karnataka star eventually departed after scoring 38 runs off 73 balls.
While it was a short stay at the crease for Mayank Agarwal, he did manage to make a mark thanks to a humongous six. The maximum came against Lyon in the 58th over. Mayank Agarwal danced down the track on a flighted delivery and smashed it over mid-on for 102-meter six.
