Virat Kohli And Ajinkya Rahane To Arrive Early In Kolkata

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli and his deputy Ajinkya Rahane will reach Kolkata on Tuesday at 9:40 am to start preparing for the Pink Ball Test. The rest of the team will reach later for the second Test match. According to sources, Indian opener Rohit Sharma will reach Kolkata in the early hours of Wednesday. Rohit will reach the city at 1:55 am.

On the other hand, the Indian pacers – Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav’s flight will reach the place at 9:35 am on Wednesday. The veteran pacer Ishant Sharma is expected to reach around 10:45 pm on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the rest of the team members will reach Kolkata at 12:30 pm on Tuesday. The Bangladesh team is also expected to reach around the same time.

It is going to be a historic Test.

The second Test match between India and Bangladesh will be a historic Test match as it would be a maiden Pink-Ball Test for both sides. Both the teams are already gearing up the much-awaited contest.

The pitch curator Sujan Mukherjee has confirmed that there would not be any pink-ball testing on the pitch before the action begins at 1 pm on Friday. The Eden Gardens pitch is expected to be a green top and the Indian seamers who are in red-hot form would be licking their lips. Furthermore, the pink ball is expected to provide more assistance to the pacers.

On the other hand, India had decimated Bangladesh in the first Test by an innings and 135 runs. Mayank Agarwal had scored a fine double century as he continued his dream start going.

Thus, Agarwal was awarded the Man of the match for his sublime knock. Ajinkya Rahane had also scored a good knock of 86 runs. Mohammed Shami was the chief destroyer of Bangladesh batting line-up as he snared seven wickets in the match.
