Team India has won yet another bilateral series. This time New Zealand was the victim of India’s thrashing. Backing on seven continuous series wins in limited-overs cricket after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, team India travelled to New Zealand. They beat Kiwis 5-0 at their home and ended the series as a humiliation for the hosts. India became the first team to register a 5-0 clean sweep in a T20I series in international cricket.

India beat New Zealand in the fifth game of the series to clean sweep 5-0. India put on another scintillating performance and beat the Kiwis by seven runs in the final game of the series.

Virat Kohli Becomes an Elusive Captain:

India’s victory saw some major records being broken. New Zealand has now become the team with most losses in T20I cricket at home. This was India’s only third clean sweep in a three-plus match series.

Captain Kohli also achieved an excellent record after India’s victory. With the 10th bilateral series win as captain, Virat Kohli has now surpassed Faf du Plessis who has 9 series wins to his name in first 15 T20I series as captain.
