Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary Sachin Tendulkar, is helping the Indian team practice ahead of the crucial second England vs India Test at Lord’s.

Team India will have their task cut out in the upcoming game after losing the series-opener. While the bowlers did their task really well, the batmen barring Virat Kohli failed miserably.

The game swung from one side to another throughout before England finally managed to win it by 31 runs.  If it was India who took the upper hand by dismissing England for 287 in the first innings then England also did well by taking a 13-run lead despite Virat Kohli’s splendid 149.

In the second innings, India had the hosts on the mat by reducing them to 87 for 7. However, a 63-run knock from Sam Curran helped them post 180. It eventually turned out to be the difference.

At 141 for 6 with Kohli and Hardik Pandya on the crease, the game was slightly tilted in India’s favour. However, Stokes dismissed Kohli and Mohammed Shami inside an over to put England on top. Pandya threatened to run away with the game but Stokes struck again to remove Pandya and fire England to a stunning win.

And with the batsmen faring poorly at Edgbaston, it seems like the team-management is trying its best to prepare the batsmen ahead of the second Test. And to ensure that the batsmen get a variety of options, they called Arjun.

The left-arm allrounder recently played four-day Test for India U-19 in Sri Lanka. He had a memorable debut against Sri Lanka U-19 team, picking his maiden wicket on the first day of the four-day game. He, however, did not play in the subsequent Youth ODI series.

An avid cricket lover, I just love this game more than anything. Writing about cricket keeps me closer to the game.
