The game of cricket came across many weird moments over the years. A practice game in Australia’s domestic circuit added to the list of those odd moments. Jake Weatherald was dismissed unusually during a practice game. We have come across numerous of hit-wicket dismissals in the world cricket, but the dismissal of Weatherland grabbed all the eyeballs.
Weatherland was dismissed in such a fashion that he was in splits after the dismissal.
Jake Weatherland dismissed bizarrely:
It happened during the practice game between NPs and Victoria in the Australian domestic circuit. Weatherald, who made a name of his own during the last season Big Bash League (BBL) has been the victim of it.
Weatherald while facing the yorker from a lanky left-handed fast bowler went for a booming drive through covers. Despite going hard at it, he could only manage to meet the ball with the inside part of his blade.
Eventually, he failed to hold his bat which fell on the stumps to see himself walking back to the pavilion. The incident instantly left all the people there in splits as we won’t come across this often.
Cricket Australia shared the video with their fans by tweeting: ”Oh dear… Have a look at Jake Weatherald’s bizarre dismissal in yesterday’s practice match between the NPS and Victoria.”

The same incident happened twice:
Ironically, the same incident repeated in the other match at the same venue on the very same day. This time it was for the New South Wales batsman who failed to grab hold of his bat after striking the ball decent enough.
