Yuvraj Singh, on Monday, announced his retirement from international cricket as well as Indian Premier League (IPL). The left-handed batsman retires as one of India’s biggest match-winners in limited-overs format. Yuvraj’s contribution in making India a force to reckon with in ODIs and T20Is last decade is unparalleled.

He starred in India’s two biggest wins of the century – Word T20 in 2007 and the World Cup in 2011. His performance in the 2011 World Cup will be always held in high regards by the cricket fans.  Yuvraj scored 362 runs, including a century against the West Indies in Chennai, and picked up 15 wickets to bag the Man of the Tournament award. His fine all-round show had helped India win the World Cup after 28 years.

But his joy was short-lived as he was diagnosed with a rare germ-cell cancer soon after the World Cup. But the fighter he is, he beat cancer and made a miraculous return to the cricket field. In 2012, he was back to playing for India. Yuvraj, however, never managed to seal his spot in the team after recovering from cancer.

Yuvraj Singh last played a Test in 2012 and ODI and T20 in 2017. Overall, Yuvraj represented India in 40 Tests, 304 ODIs and 58 T20Is, scoring over 11,000 runs and picking up 227 wickets.

Yuvraj, nonetheless, enjoyed several memorable moments in his career but the 6 sixes off a Stuart Broad over probably tops the list. Just before taking Broad to the cleaners, Yuvraj was fired up after being involved in a heated exchange with Andrew Flintoff. In that game, he had crossed the 50-run mark in just 12 balls and still holds the record of fastest fifty in T20Is.

With Yuvraj Singh now retiring, here is a clip of that famous over when he hit six back-to-back sixes:
