Yuvraj Singh Wishes 'Lambu' Ishant Sharma On His Birthday

Yuvraj Singh, on Sunday (September 2),  took to Twitter to wish Ishant Sharma on his 30th birthday. 

India pacer Ishant Sharma celebrated his birthday on Sunday. And his teammates and fans did not take long to make his day special by flooding him with birthday messages. Yuvraj Singh also followed suit and posted a funny message for his India teammate.

The World Cup-winning star called Ishant ‘lambu’ and praised him for performance in Tests as he wrote:

“Dear Lambu many happy returns of the day god bless ! Great going in the tests all the best cause don’t you know who I am ?? @ImIshant”

Ishant has become the pace spearhead of the side. He recently became the third Indian fast bowler to reach 250 Test wickets. Ishant also became the seventh Indian bowler to reach the milestone of 250 Test wickets. Kapil Dev (434 wickets), Zaheer Khan (311 wickets), Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh, Ravichandran Ashwin and Bishan Singh Bedi achieved the feat before him.

He achieved the feat during the ongoing England vs India series. Ishant has led the attack beautifully as the pacers have done exceedingly well. During the course of the series, he also became the third Indian bowler to take 50 wickets on English soil.

In the ongoing fourth Test,  Ishant has taken four wickets so far.  During India’s first Test against England, Ishant registered his eight five-wicket haul. Dawid Malan (20), Jonny Bairstow (28), Ben Stokes (6), Jos Buttler (1), Stuart Broad (11) were Ishant’s victims.

Ishant Sharma, who made his Test debut against Bangladesh in 2007, has played 85 matches till now. Along with eight five-wicket hauls, he has one 10-wicket haul and eight four-wicket hauls as well. He has also played 80 ODIs and has taken 115 wickets. He was a part of the team that won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013.
