Star England express pacer Mark Wood is doubtful for the remainder of the three-match Test series against the West Indies National Cricket Team after suffering an injury during the first match of the Richards–Botham Trophy at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua.
Mark Wood was unable to bowl in the second innings of the first Test because of soreness in his right elbow and Warwickshire’s Liam Norwell is expected to be called up to West Indies if a replacement is required, as reported by Telegraph.co.uk.
Notably, the express pacer had suffered some issues in his elbow during the first innings of the West Indies. He bowled just 17 overs, including 4 maidens, giving away 45 runs and picking 1 wicket. After the 17th over he was unable to bowl and England were hoping to see Wood return to action but before Day 5, when Wood bowled in the nets he was seen struggling with acute discomfort after bowling around an over.

Also, veteran pacers James Anderson and Stuart Broad, who were dropped from the team ahead of the West Indies tour, are not expected to be called up to West Indies as an emergency replacement.
