ENG vs WI Prediction, Who Will Win The Match Between England and West Indies? ICC T20 World Cup Match No 14. Remember which two teams played the final of the last edition of the T20 World Cup? Yes! England and West Indies met each other in the summit clash of the 2016 T20 World Cup.
England would have won that final had Carlos Brathwaite not hit Ben Stokes four sixes in the final over to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Both Ben Stokes and Carlos Brathwaite aren’t part of their respective squads for this edition due to different reasons.

Joe Root scored a half-century in that game for England. He too is no longer a part of England’s T20 side. Dawid Malan replaced him at number three and remained the number one T20 batsmen for a significant period of time. However, his inability to play in the subcontinent conditions has come under the scanner.
For this very reason, he might not be a part of the playing XI against West Indies on Saturday. If reports are anything to be believed, Moeen Ali is likely to replace him at number three. It won’t be a bad call to be honest, given how Moeen Ali played at number three for CSK in IPL 2021. Jos Buttler and Jason Roy will most likely be the two openers, while Jonny Bairstow should come at number four.

England’s biggest worry at the moment is Eoin Morgan’s poor form. He has been enduring a rough patch and with Ben Stokes, not part of the squad, England’s lower middle-order might woes might come to haunt them. Liam Livingstone could make a difference if he gets going.
He has shown great promise in The Hundred tournament. However, whether he would be able to replicate those performances in the high-pressure event remains to be seen. England does not have the services of Jofra Archer in the pace department.

They are definitely going to miss him, given the quality he possesses with the ball. In his absence, Mark Wood will have a huge responsibility on his shoulders. He began the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 campaign on the right note, having returned with brilliant figures of 4 for 23 against New Zealand in the warm-up game. England would be hoping that he continues to produce such performances for the rest of the tournament.

One of the most daunting T20 sides in the world, West Indies will be the team to beat in the 2021 World Cup. They are the most successful team in the history of the tournament with two titles to their name and look keen to win their third title this year.
Windies have a strong unit at their disposal. In Ewin Lewis and Lendl Simmons, they can expect a strong start, while the likes of Shimron Hetmyer, Chris Gayle, Roston Chase, and Nicholas Pooran are perfect bets to capitalize on those starts.
The presence of Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and Andre Russell add depth to the batting line-up. Without a doubt, this is one of the best batting units, as far as T20 internationals is concerned. It will be interesting to see how far they go this time around.
Experienced veteran bowler, Ravi Rampaul has been given the duty to lead the fast bowling unit. Oshane Thomas is likely to assist him, while Hayden Walsh will be the biggest bet in the spin department.
