Veteran Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik has revealed his ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 team of the tournament, and he has picked only one Indian player in the list.

The Super 12 stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 ended with India defeating Namibia in a one-sided encounter. Meanwhile, The 4 semi-finalists of this year’s tournament are Australia, England from Group 1 and New Zealand, Pakistan from Group 2. New Zealand will lock horns with England on Wednesday, November 10, and Pakistan will go head-to-head with Australia on Thursday, November 11.

Then Dinesh Karthik picked 3 spin bowling all-Rounders Shakib Al Hasan, Moeen Ali and Wanindu Hasaranga. The remaining 4 players in his list were Australian Adam Zampa, Kiwi Trent Boult, Indian Jasprit Bumrah and Pakistani Shaheen Shah Afridi.

“Babar Azam, Jos Buttler, Charith Asalanka, Rassie van der Dussen, Shakib al Hasan, Moeen Ali, Wanindu Hasaranga, Adam Zampa, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah and Shaheen Afridi. Would have ideally liked Morgan as he has been the best captain for me, but has not done enough as a batter. So, I went for Azam. Van der Dussen is a very clever batsman,” Karthik said on Cricbuzz.

“The tournament has been dominated by bowlers. So, you can see I have picked 7 proper bowlers. If Australia is in the semi-final, a huge hand has to go to Zampa. Afridi has looked class apart from the rest”.
