Former Australia cricketer Brad Hogg said that if Pakistan loses their opening game against India in ICC T20 World Cup 2021, they might not reach the semi-finals. His words arrive ahead of the super 12 round of ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Brad Hogg also named the 4 teams that he feels might reach the semi-finals.

India and Pakistan are going to play their opening game of the T20 World Cup 2021. The India vs Pakistan clash will take place on October 24 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. India defeated England and Australia in recent warm-up games. On the other hand, Pakistan defeated West Indies but lost to South Africa in warm-up matches.

If Pakistan Lose Against India In First Game, I Don’t Think They Will Get Through: Brad Hogg

While speaking to former India cricketer Deep Dasgupta on his Youtube show Deeppoint, Brad Hogg named the 4 teams that can reach the semi-finals in ICC T20 World Cup 2021. However, the former Aussie spinner also said that if Pakistan loses to India in the opening game, they might not go through.

“If Pakistan get beaten by India in the first game, they’ve got a short turnaround to play New Zealand. I think that will be a huge factor on whether Pakistan go through or not. If Pakistan lose against India in the first game, I don’t think they will get through, India will get through. So watch that space,” Brad Hogg said.

Hogg also feels that England and West Indies will qualify for the semi-finals from group 1 while India and Pakistan will qualify from group 2. According to him, Australia will lose out on selection to the semi-finals.

“The teams that I think are going to go to the semis are England and the West Indies from Group 1 and from Group 2 I think it’s going to be Pakistan and India”, Brad Hogg said.
