Star Namibia all-rounder David Wiese has labelled Indian cricketers as “Best In The World” ahead of their clash against Virat Kohli-led side on Monday, November 8 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The Namibian team have played very good cricket in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021. However, so far they have managed to win only one game in the tournament. Their sole victory came against Scotland by 4 wickets.

David Wiese said that it’s fantastic to play against India and they have got an amazing fanbase. Speaking with the Hindustan Times, David Wiese stated:
“Playing against India is always fantastic. The support they have is amazing. Their players are the best in the world. And those are the kind of players you want to be playing against.”
He added that they will enter the India clash as underdogs and they can pull a surprise. David Wiese said:
“A couple of guys can step up and impress the right people and it could work for them somewhere else. Life is all about opportunities. We are the underdogs but you never know.”
We Have Established Ourselves As The Best Associate Team By Beating Scotland – David Wiese

Wiese further added that Namibia have established itself as the best associate team by defeating Scotland in the Super 12 stage. Notably, Scotland performed exceptionally in the Round 1 stage and they were undefeated. However, entering the Super 12 stage they have lost 4 consecutive games.
“We knew we would be up against it. But it’s also exciting. Our first result in Round 1 itself against Sri Lanka was a bit of a baptism of fire. But we have established ourselves as the best Associate team by beating Scotland which is a great achievement for Namibian cricket,” David Wiese concluded.

The India-Namibia clash will have no importance from the Indian team’s perspective if New Zealand defeats Afghanistan in today’s clash. However, if Afghanistan wins the match then India will have a chance to make it to the semi-finals.
