Former India batsman Suresh Raina feels that the presence of MS Dhoni in the Indian team dressing room will be of immense help to the players.
Dhoni, who led CSK to their fourth IPL title on Friday, will be with the national side in the role of a mentor. The 2-time World Cup-winning captain will be assisting the captain and coach in off the field aspects as India look to win their second T20 title.
Suresh Raina reckons the players will benefit a great deal with Dhoni’s vast experience.
“The team environment is very good. MS Dhoni’s experience will benefit the Indian players in the T20 World Cup,” Suresh Raina told Sportstak.

Suresh Raina feels that the Indian team has the ability to go deep in the tournament. He pointed out that the players are just coming off a month-long IPL stint in the UAE and that experience will help them in the World Cup.
The left-hander pointed out that apart from the big names in Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, the likes of all-rounder Shardul Thakur, and mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy will hold the team in good stead.
“We have Virat Kohli as captain and we all know how well he’s performed. Then there is also Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur.
“We also have mystery spinners in the line-up. Varun Chakravarthy has an important role to play,” the CSK batsman added.
India will take on Pakistan in their opening encounter on October 24 in Dubai. They will then meet New Zealand, Afghanistan, and two other teams who will qualify from Round 1 in the Super 12 stage.
