The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the fixtures for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021. In this article, you will get to know every detail about the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2021, including the India squad, India’s schedule groups, team list, all team squad, timetable, tickets, and venue.

Previously, the marquee World Cup event was scheduled to start in 2020. However, due to the pandemic situation, it was postponed. Also, India was all set to host the tournament. However, with the current covid-19 situation of India is not in full control to host big events like T20 World Cup.

So instead of India, it will take place in UAE and OMAN in a total of 4 venues, Muscat, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. However, BCCI will still hold the hosting rights for the event.

T20 World Cup 2021 Schedule

The qualifier round of T20 World Cup 2021 will begin on October 17 and will end on October 22. Meanwhile, from the next day which is October 23, the Super 12 round will start and it will take place till November 8. After that, the knock-out round of the T20 World Cup 2021 will start on November 10. Notably, the first semi-finals will commence in Abu Dhabi and the second semi-final will be played in Dubai.

A total of 45 games will be played in the T20 World Cup 2021 and ICC has divided teams into four groups. This is how teams are placed in the groups:

*The top two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals

ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Schedule India

India will be entering the tournament as one of the favorites to win the trophy. India is placed in the Group B of the tournament alongside Pakistan, New Zealand, and Afghanistan. The Virat Kohli-led India will be starting their campaign in the high-voltage battle against arch-rivals Pakistan. However, with the large pool of talented cricketers available picking, the squad will be a very tough job for the selectors.

As per rules, there will be 12 teams competing in the Super12 round of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Among the 12 teams, a total of 8 teams have already qualified for the Super12 stage of the T20 World Cup 2021 and the remaining teams will be selected on the basis of the Qualifier round of the T20 World Cup 2021 which will take place from October 17 to October 22.

In the qualifier rounds group, A consists of Sri Lanka, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Namibia. Group B consists of Bangladesh, Scotland, Papua New Guinea, and Oman. So far there is no confirmation whether or not the fans will be allowed in the stadiums for T20 World Cup 2021. However, reports stated that the spectators will be allowed in the stadium in the latter half of IPL 2021.
