During his press conference, Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah was interrupted by the Scotland players celebrating their win by singing out a rather loud version of their national anthem. Mahmudullah had to stop while answering a Bangladeshi journalist.
Uploading a video of the same, Cricket Scotland then jokingly apologised to the Bangladeshi skipper about this interruption.
“Sorry we will keep it down next time,” said Cricket Scotland in its tweet with a video of the incident.

Our batting is a concern: Mahmudullah
Mahmudullah admitted that he was “frustrated” by the loss to Scotland as Bangladesh failed to chase down the target of 141 on a good batting surface in Oman. However, he said that their batting remained a worrying aspect and needed to bat better to progress to the Super 12 stage of the tournament.
Chasing 141, Bangladesh lost a couple of wickets early, and while Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Mahmudullah got starts, all three of them batted at a strike rate below 110.
“I am very much frustrated. Our batting is a concern. We have to bat better. We have to play aggressive cricket, regardless of the situation. We have a deep batting line-up, with Mohammad Saifuddin at No. 9. We may need to think over some changes tomorrow,” Mahmudullah said after the match.
“We didn’t deliberately bat slowly. We couldn’t hit those boundaries. We have to bat better next time. A lot of things will come up since we lost the game.
“I think we didn’t play well today, but we are a good T20 team. We have the capability. When we play our best cricket, we can win games,” he added.
All-rounder Chris Greaves starred for Scotland. He smashed 45 runs off 28 balls with the bat, taking their score from 53/6 to 140. He then dismissed Shakib and Mushfiqur as Bangladesh managed 134.
Bangladesh will next face Oman and Papua New Guinea; a loss to hosts Oman will end their campaign.
