T20 World Cup 2021: Twitter Reacts As Scotland Beat Bangladesh By 6 Runs

The second match of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 between Bangladesh National Cricket Team and Scotland National Cricket Team commenced at Al Amerat Cricket Ground Oman Cricket (Ministry Turf 1) on Sunday, October 17. Notably, Scotland won the game by defeating Bangladesh by 6 runs.
Meanwhile, Mahmudullah led-Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bowl first. The Bangladesh bowlers started pretty well and the seamer Mohammad Saifuddin dismissed the skipper of Scotland Kyle Coetzer??on a 7 ball duck.
After that George Munsey and Matthew Cross added 40 runs off 29 balls before Mahedi Hasan dismissed Matthew Cross in the 8th over of the match. Also, set batter Munsey was castled by Mahedi Hasan in the same over.
In the 12th over Scotland was down and out at 53 for 6. However, Chris Greaves batted brilliantly with Mark Watt and they added 51 runs from 34 deliveries. With the help of this amazing partnership, Scotland were able to post 140 runs on the board at the loss of 9 wickets.
Chasing the target the batters of the Bangladesh National Cricket Team were seen struggling a lot against the Scotland bowling unit. Soumya Sarkar lost his wicket in the 3rd ball of the second over against Josh Davey and Liton Das was dismissed in the 4th over by Bradley Wheal.
However, after that two of the highly experienced batters of the team, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan provided the stability to the team by adding 47 runs.
Meanwhile, Chris Greaves helped Scotland in making a comeback by dismissing Shakib Al Hasan in the 12th over. Also, Mushfiqur Rahim was sent back to the pavilion by Chris Greaves in the 14th over.
Bangladesh were sent to the backfoot and they needed 31 runs from 10 balls to win the match. Batters smashed some good boundaries in the end but they were 6 runs short of the victory.
