West Indies spinner Akeal Hosein pulled off one of the best catches in T20 World Cup history as he held on to a stunning one-handed return catch in a Super 12 match against England on Saturday.

Bowling the seventh over, Hosein tossed one delivery right up into Livingstone’s hitting zone. However, the English batsmen had just walked in and attempted a flick in order to rotate the strike. Unfortunately, all he got was a leading-edge.

The ball looked like it was heading towards long-off but Hosein had other ideas. Leaping to his left, the 28-year-old hung on to a magnificent one-handed catch. The on-field umpires weren’t sure about the legitimacy of the catch so they sent it upstairs to the third umpire.

The soft signal was out and the third umpire checked multiple angles before staying with the on-field call of ‘Out’. The catch may not have an effect on the overall outcome of the game but it was truly a moment to behold. Livingstone went back after scoring 1(2).

Earlier, West Indies were bundled out for their lowest T20 World Cup score. Adil Rashid stole the show with his unbelievable figures of 4/2 in 2.2 overs. The rest of the bowlers chipped in as well to blow away the Windies for 55 in 14.2 overs.

Apart from Chris Gayle, none of the other batsmen got into double figures. The track in Dubai wasn’t conducive to batting but it definitely wasn’t a surface where 55 was an acceptable score.
