ICC T20 World Cup 2022: Michael Hussey And David Saker Join England Men's Coaching Set Up Ahead Of Tournament

David Saker and Michael Hussey have been appointed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to serve as coaches for the English white-ball setup during England’s T20 World Cup campaign in Australia this winter.
The men’s white-ball head coach, Matthew Mott, has recruited Saker and Hussey as coaching advisors.
David Saker, who oversaw the men’s bowling for England from 2010 to 2015, has a distinguished coaching background thanks to his subsequent employments with the Big Bash League, the Australian men’s squad from 2016 to 2019, and the national teams of the United States and Sri Lanka.
Saker will begin his role during the seven-match T20 series in Pakistan, with England’s first tour of the country in 17 years due to begin on September 20, while Hussey will link up as a batting specialist for the World Cup.
Michael Hussey’s coaching on Australian tracks can be beneficial:
Michael Hussey, a former Australian cricketer, will join the white-ball team for the forthcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. The southpaw served as the Australian team’s batting coach during the T20 World Cup in 2016, then in 2018 he was named the batting coach of IPL team Chennai Super Kings.
Hussey also served as the Director of Cricket for the Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League post his retirement from international cricket in 2013.
Rob Key, managing director of men’s cricket for the ECB, earlier thanked the PCB and other authorities for their help in organizing the Pakistan tour. The seven-match T20I series, which will be followed by a Test series after the T20 World Cup in the subcontinental country, is something he is looking forward to.
