IND vs SA: "Nothing Fancy"- Anrich Nortje Ahead Of India Contest

Indian Cricket Team is booming with confidence after their back-to-back wins in ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The Men in Blue would be aware of the fact that they can’t take South Africa lightly by any means. India has the wood over South Africa as recently they won the T20I Series by 2-1.
South Africa should not get complacent after its dominating performance against Bangladesh. The team would be pumped up after seeing the performance of Anrich Nortje, especially as the speedster was bowling was the sheer pace. He would be quite pivotal to South Africa as he can surprise the batter with variations.
Anrich Nortje on Clash
Anrich Nortje was seen interacting with the media ahead of the India match and was asked about the pitch. “I think what we’ve seen the last few games, it’s been a really good wicket, lots of pace and bounce. We’re just going to identify what is a good length and a good line on the day and try and stick to that. Not try and do anything fancy. Try and stick to our basics and sort of restrict – get as many wickets as possible, obviously, but restrict the runs as much as possible.” said Nortje.
“We see ourselves as one of the best base attacks there is. I think we’re definitely going to back ourselves. We have a great variety. We cover a lot of aspects. We cover a lot of bases with our attack. Definitely as a pace attack, we definitely back ourselves against any team to go out and do what we have to do on the day to try and get over the line.” he added.
Crucial Match for Both Teams
A victory for India would mean that they are almost qualified for Semi-Finals. The Men in Blue though would be bothered with the form of KL Rahul as the batter has looked off-color. Once again, Virat Kohli will have to make sure that he bats deep as he can guide the batters in crunch situations.
South Africa on the other hand, would be banking on their pacers to deliver. The team will have to make sure whether they are playing with 2 spinners or not as in Perth the pitch doesn’t offer a lot of turn. The form of Temba Bavuma is a concern as the skipper is not able to match the standards of T20I Cricket.
