'Never got online fan club...' - Virender Sehwag wants Kuldeep Yadav to get more credit and hype

Former India’s opening batsman Virender Sehwag, who played the Bazball style of Test cricket even before it was invented a couple of years ago, heaped praise on India’s only wrist spinner in the ongoing 5-match Test series against England, Kuldeep Yadav. Sehwag opined that Kuldeep never actually got the type of praise and hype that other Indian cricketers have experienced and he asked fans to to shower more support on the UP-born cricketer.
Kuldeep Yadav alongside veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has been the key reason why England’s batting order has been dismantled in their attempt to set up a challenging total at the already cracked-up track in Ranchi’s JSCA stadium.
With no Jasprit Bumrah in the side, the Indians handed debut to pacer Akash Deep who after shining in the 1st innings, hasn’t bowled a single over in the 3rd inning until now and he is unlikely to do so. But regardless of it, the Indian team has done extremely well to restrict the Bazballing England batters who are now edging towards another Test match loss.
Sehwag asks fans to create a Kuldeep Yadav fan page
Taking note of the minimal amount of hype Kuldeep Yadav gets from Indian cricket supporters, Viru asked the fans to create fan pages in order to hype the Chinaman. Sehwag took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his views which has been widely welcomed by the fans in the comment section.
A fan replied, “Hyped players preparing for IPL. Young players performing for India against England”, while another fan opined, “He isn’t Kuldeep khan that’s why.”
“When it comes to hype, one of the least hyped guys is Kuldeep Yadav. Been exceptional for many years, but never got a online fan club or people to hype him as the next big thing. Deserves a lot more credit and hype than he gets,” Sehwag wrote on his X handle.

Kuldeep ends 3rd innings with 4 wickets while Ravi Ashwin claims five-for
Thanks to the wonderful efforts from Kuldeep Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin, the English contingent have been folded for just 145 runs, leaving 191 as the target for India to chase down by tomorrow. Although it’s going to be a difficult track to bat on in the 4th innings due to its slowness, but credit must go to Kuldeep and Ashwin for single-handedly destroying the Bazballers and their arrogance.
While Kuldeep claimed the wickets of Zak Crawley, Ben Stokes, Tom Hartley, and Ollie Robinson, Ravi Ashwin who completed 500 Test wickets in the previous Test in Ranchi, led to the removals of Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Ben Foakes and James Anderson.
The remaining one wicket was picked by 3rd Test’s man of the match Ravindra Jadeja who removed middle-order batter Jonny Bairstow. Meanwhile, India have started their run-chase with Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal currently present in the crease. Rohit and Jaiswal will look to score as many runs as they can today because they have an entire 2 days to chase the total.
