Deepak Chahar, an Indian bowler, may not be fully prepared for the opening ODI of the series against Bangladesh on Sunday after having “a horrible experience” on Malaysia Airlines.
Washington Sundar, Rishabh Pant, Shardul Thakur, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, and Chahar were all travelling to Dhaka from Christchurch, New Zealand via Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Chahar reported that despite travelling in business class, his flight was changed without warning and that no food was provided.

Deepak Chahar Slams Malaysian Airlines
The right-arm pacer, who has travelled to Mirpur to join the Indian team, stated that with less than 24 hours until the match on Sunday, he is still awaiting his luggage.
“Had a worse experience travelling with Malaysia airlines @MAS .first they changed our flight without telling us and no food in Business class. Now we have been waiting for our luggage from last 24 hours. Imagine we have a game to play tomorrow,” Chahar tweeted on Saturday morning before the team’s training session.
Deepak Chahar claimed that a link Malaysian Airlines offered him to file a complaint on Twitter didn’t work.
“May be unavoidable due to operational, weather-related, and technical reasons. We apologise for the inconvenience caused,” the airline replied on Twitter about the change in flight.
“A representative from our Customer Relations team will be in touch with you soon, to follow up on your feedback. You will receive a case reference number once you submitted the feedback form. Once again, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience,” the Airlines tweeted.
Regarding whether the Indian cricketers Dhawan, Iyer, Shardul, Pant, and Washington went through the same ordeal, Chahar withheld information.
Given that veteran pacer, Mohammed Shami will not be able to play in the three-match series due to a shoulder injury, Chahar and Mohammed Siraj will probably share the new ball in the first ODI against Bangladesh.
The superstar Virat Kohli, vice-captain KL Rahul, and captain Rohit Sharma are all back for the Bangladesh One-Day International series. They were all given a break from the limited-overs tour of New Zealand.
