Indian Cricket Team was jolted early on Day 2 as Shreyas Iyer was clean bowled by Ebadot Hossain in the first hour of the morning session of Day 2. Bangladeshi bowlers showed a lot of discipline as they dried boundaries and made sure that they don’t give any freebies.

Ravichandran Ashwin & Kuldeep Yadav applied a cautious approach as the oddball was keeping low. Ashwin made sure that the team doesn’t lose any more wickets as the right-handed batter slowly took the attack against the opposition. Ashwin smashed a knock of 58 runs in 113 balls where he struck 2 fours and 2 sixes.

In the 112th over of the innings, Taijul Islam was bowling to Ashwin where he got an edge off the second delivery and the ball went past the first slip to the third man region. The fielder hit the ball to the helmet which is placed at the back of the wicket-keeper. Due to this India was given 5 penalty runs.

Poor Bowling Performance from Bangladesh

The Bangladeshi Tigers were waiting for batters to make a mistake which hurt them a lot. Kuldeep Yadav who isn’t a good batter got his eye in and then got into the groove. The left-handed batter registered his highest score of 40 runs as India went on to score  404 runs.

Bangladeshi Skipper Shakib made a mistake by not introducing himself early in the attack. The all-rounder has the knack of being the partnership breaker. Bangladesh will require a monumental effort to get closer to India’s total as now the pitch has started to deteriorate and batting won’t be easy.
