India had earlier bowled out Bangladesh for 227 in their first innings. Mominul Haque top-scored for Bangladesh, who opted to bat, with a 157-ball 84. Bangladesh were seven for no loss in their second innings at stumps on the second day of the second and final Test against India in Dhaka.

Bangladesh still trails India by 80 runs. Earlier, India rode on Rishabh Pant’s (93 of 104) and Shreyas Iyer’s (87 of 105) impressive knocks to score 314 all out in their first innings in reply to Bangladesh’s 227. Taijul Islam (4/74) and skipper Shakib Al Hasan (4/79) shared eight wickets between them for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Put Up A 145 Target For India:

India’s top order collapsed while chasing 145, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up three wickets in a sensational session to conclude the third day of the second Test at 45/4 in 23 overs.

Bangladesh took three early wickets, putting India under heavy strain early on Day 4. The first was nightwatchman Jaydev Unadkat’s, followed by Rishabh Pant’s big wicket. Mehidy Hasan Miraz completed his five-wicket haul by dismissing Axar Patel. However, Ravichandran Ashwin and Shreyas Iyer calmed the Indian chase and led India to victory.
