England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed a 15-man squad on Monday for the upcoming one-off Test (5th) against India, starting on July 1 at the Edgbaston.

Sab Billings has been called up following the positive result for regular wicket-keeper, Ben Foakes, during the third Test against New Zealand. Foakes had complained of back pain and didn’t take part in the Headingley Test from the 3rd day.

Billings’ addition is the only change in the squad from the third Test against the Kiwis. Zak Crawley has retained his position despite a terrible outing against the Kiwis.

Harry Brook continues to be part of the squad as a backup option in the middle order but he is unlikely to be needed considering the excellent form of Jonny Bairstow.

Jamie Overton was mighty impressive with both bat and ball in the final Test against the Kiwis but he might have to make way for veteran, James Anderson, who was rested for the third Test.

England squad for one-off Test:

Ben Stokes (Durham) captain, James Anderson (Lancashire), Jonathan Bairstow (Yorkshire), Sam Billings (Kent), Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire), Harry Brook (Yorkshire), Zak Crawley (Kent), Ben Foakes (Surrey), Jack Leach (Somerset), Alex Lees (Durham), Craig Overton (Somerset), Jamie Overton (Surrey), Matthew Potts (Durham), Ollie Pope (Surrey), Joe Root (Yorkshire).
